Leadership does not come to everyone by birth. It’s an innate quality which develops with circumstances and persistence throughout the lifetime of a person. Every person is a leader in their own space. It’s the matter of their vision and principles which make them be a good leader, best leader or just a follower with a dream.

Leaders are given a larger than life portrayal in a number of ways. It all comes down to personality traits which determine the ability of a person to be followed or become a follower himself. People tend to learn and change as they grow, however, there are some major personality traits which must be present in a person to become a good leader.

Emotionally Strong:

Good leaders are always emotionally strong. They are able to endure stress and pressure. They must possess a psychological maturity that allows them to deal with everything that comes through, in a graceful manner.

Decisive:

A leader must be able to take decisions on their own. They may be assertive thinkers as well as influencers.

The sense of ownership:

Leaders have a strong conscience. They own their responsibilities and take the ownership of all they do. They are self-disciplined and do not need to be ordered.

Energetic:

Leaders are active, energetic, expressive and aggressive in their being. They have an optimistic approach to their actions. The leader is spontaneous risk-takers. They have high emotional stamina which always keeps them driven to work for their aim.

Self-Assured:

Leaders have confidence in their abilities, more than other people have on them. They are resilient in their character. They do not need approvals, neither are they affected by criticism. They learn from their mistakes and only progress ahead.

Compulsive:

Leaders tend to be socially aware, and careful while taking a decision or action. They act upon their foresight in a very controlled and precisely planned manner. They like to maintain their social integrity and reputation.

If you want to become a good leader, know your strengths and weakness. Work upon your lows and further develop your highs.

Remember, one can always achieve what they dream for if they live for achieving what they dream.
