Without a doubt, it is the simplest task and this can help the principals in having the right kind of approach towards their work. Before we shed light on the different components of instructional leadership, it is important to understand the importance of learning these components.

A number of leaders think that they have all the abilities that are needed for being a leader but they must understand the fact that they are still incomplete. The process of learning never stops and people who run away from this process of learning believing that they are accustomed to everything lack major components.

There are a number of things that can be learnt and adopted at any stage of the life. Therefore, it is important to understand the different components before adopting them:

Instructional leadership includes the following components:

  • Setting realistic goals

Even if you are a leader, there are a number of things that cannot be achieved in one go. A proper strategy is required to achieve them. It is a simple concept but most of the self-proclaimed leaders do not understand the importance of this thing owing to their egoist nature. Thus, it is important to follow a step-by-step strategy and get your hands on the mechanisms that can play an important role in enhancing your working skills.

  • Checking lesson strategies

The next important component that should be adopted by the principals is to keep a check on the strategies that focus on the lesson and learning. It is important to keep a check as not all the students get the lesson through one strategy. Therefore, it is the duty of the principal to keep a check on the learning and lesson delivery strategies of the teachers so as to have a full grip on the development process.

  • Allotting resources

There is one leader apparently but there are a number of subordinates working under the supervision of the leader. As there are leaders working under a single leader, everyone must be trained to look after the available resources and to use them in an appropriate manner. This will help the entire structure in developing better opportunities for the students that will play a vital role in the development and progress for sure.
